The Guildford Diocesan Guild of Church Bell Ringers

Guildford Diocesan Guild of Church Bell Ringers is dedicated to supporting and encouraging traditional bell ringing in the churches of the Guildford Diocese. 

The Guild was founded in 1927 and has 64 ringing towers divided amongst four Districts. It currently has over 600 members.

The Guild’s Bell Restoration Fund is a registered charity and has raised many tens of thousands of pounds for work on maintaining, repairing, restoring and augmenting rings of bells around the Diocese.

STOKE-DABERNON

The challenge for the lightest ring of bells is just won by the six at
Stoke d’Abernon (3-3-11)

GUILDFORD-CATHEDRAL

The heaviest bells in the Guild are the 30-cwt ring of twelve at Guildford Cathedral, shown above.

HASCOMBE

The five bells at Hascombe are only just second lightest with a weight of 3-3-17.
